Strategic Communications Executive
A proven leader with a robust portfolio in strategic communications and marketing, spanning high-profile federal roles and major private sector projects.
With a decade of experience in the federal government, I led communication efforts for three federal cabinet ministers, driving strategic communication initiatives that left a lasting impact.
- In National Revenue, I led the government’s communication strategy for pandemic response programs and benefits (i.e. CERB).
- During my time at Rural Economic Development, I oversaw over $3 billion in announcements nationwide. These initiatives focused on bridging the digital divide by connecting rural and remote regions to high-speed Internet.
- Concluding with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, I communicated important policies, like resettling Ukrainians and Afghan refugees fleeing war. Other noteworthy achievements include securing Lululemon’s global headquarters in Vancouver, a new Canadian passport design, Canada’s first-ever tech talent strategy, and supporting LGBTQI+ refugees.
In all, I had the honour of being recognized for my work, receiving an award for Best Spin Control—an accolade bestowed through the votes of my peers, the media, and friends from all political backgrounds.
Most recently, I led marketing communications at Canadian North Airlines, driving strategic initiatives during a pivotal period of organizational change. Notable achievements include orchestrating the Ottawa airport’s most successful media event, establishing a partnership to train Inuit pilots, and organizing the airline’s annual toy drive.
